Tools
Red Flag's Tools
are a set of practical instruments and routines through which higher
error–prevention states can be achieved, in the short- and long-term.
In most cases, they comprise individual skills or skill sets or
competencies. The
Tools booklet provides brief insights into how they work.
Learning
The main Tool is Learning. You
will be learning about vital skills and how to maintain them.
- By the time you encounter Red
Flag you have a considerable history of learning. Yet very few of us have ever had the learning mechanisms
explained. (Perhaps it’s a bit heavy-duty to bring in
at the Kindy and Primary levels, but … .)
- If you were going to operate a machine as
part of your professional duties – a plane, for example – then
you’d expect to be taught a lot about how
it works. You'd especially be interested in the critical and/or dangerous
stuff.
- In The Tools, Red Flag
makes up for that deficiency. You can learn about learning, and then apply it to better decision making in your line of work. The idea of exercise for cognitive fitness is part of that learning, as is the need for continuous
cognitive exercise.
In essence, The Tools describes the training instruments
through which you may diagnose your own cognitive fitness and
improved it if you wish. Their application to Case Studies
(and/or real life) establishes their untility and effectiveness.
