The Red Flag©
Program has been extensively trialled and conducted in various formats
since 1995.
- It has been taught, over five days, to flying instructors as
"Acquiring and Maintaining Situation
Awareness".
- Four-day Workshops for professionals
and pilots are held at Binna Burra in South-East
Qld, combing theory learning with experiential and reinforcement
exercises.
- Queensland Emergency Services officers receive half-day Workshops
on "Decision-Making
Under Stress", using Red Flag materials.
- Aviation
professionals – including operations
staff, aircraft maintenance engineers, managers, pilots, flight
attendants, air traffic controllers – have also participated
in the one-day Workshop.
- Small groups of non-aviation
professionals have been briefed on its potential
to reduce their exposure to Professional Indemnity (PI)
claims, and thus to argue the case for lower PI premiums.
