The Red Flag Team
In keeping with
the cocktail* effect (and reflecting James Reason’s multiple
layers of defences) Red Flag
offers other participants roles in developing, managing and supervising
its evolution and operation. Settled positions on the team are listed
below, with brief snapshots of the sort of activity that would be
expected of them (and leaving room for autonomous determination
of their own supervisory-type roles and functions).
The price of
the RFS is set, for now,
as 18 "Units". One "Unit"
is a common value that is the agreed return to each individual member
of the team. The quantum of One Unit will depend on
the scope of membership and cost of associated activities as agreed
by EMSA.

are clear.

company. An RTO, or linked to an RTO, to provide
industry input. The role is secured by having an agreed number
of people complete Red Flag

safety cell functions until such time as ASFA or equivalent
possesses mature capability in assigned roles such as maintain
Incident Reporting system.
